PB&J Business Continuity

This goes well beyond tape backup and restore!

Organizations have become more dependent upon technology than ever. Without access to applications and data for an extended period of time, many businesses would cease to exist. And it is amazing how many organizations are still relying on tape backup.

At PB&J Partners, we take safeguarding our client’s digital assets seriously. We have developed a comprehensive suite of cloud business continuity solutions.

We want to understand your restoration SLAs and then create a solution built for you.

Backup and Recovery

Many organizations still rely on tapes for data backup. Tape technology has improved quite a bit over the years. Larger and faster cartridges. One reason companies use tape is for archival, citing the fact that data can be retrieved 30 years later. A question to ask however is, will you have the technology to read those tapes in 30 years?

We look at holistic data backup solutions. We start with implementing real-time compression and inline data-deduplication where possible. Then we utilize low cost in house storage for snapshots. Backups are then sent to inexpensive cloud storage. A system that gives you complete control and better resiliency.

Disaster Recovery

While backup is important, what do you do in the event of a serious hardware failure? If disaster strikes and you no longer have access to your data center, how will your organization keep working? In the past, true disaster recovery (DR) required duplicating your entire infrastructure. That was cost prohibitive for most organizations.

Now DR can be set up in the cloud. Data can be replicated to multiple geo redundant targets. Applications can be imaged on inexpensive cloud servers. You can turn to those servers if your infrastructure fails for any reason.

Let PB&J help you develop a business continuity plan that is designed for your organization.
